AroFlo’s Environmental Commitment

We have a Sustainability Officer who keeps the conversation going around efficient energy use, all forms of waste reduction, and sustainable living.

Driving vehicles and taking flights to visit clients has been eliminated. This not only reduces CO2 emissions but also saves time and cuts costs, allowing us to employ more support and development staff.

All training and sales demonstrations are conducted in the cloud and not at clients’ premises. This is done using remote screen-sharing software. Melbourne-based clients occasionally visit us, and any of our clients are welcome to, but our processes are designed so that face-to-face contact is not strictly necessary for us to provide support.

Digital marketing helps AroFlo reduce our impact on the environment by focusing all of our efforts on non-print-based activities. We do not attend industry expos or trade shows, nor do we exhibit in trade shows, as they require travel and printing large volumes of promotional materials that eventually end up as landfill.

We have installed insulation, solar panels and low-energy lighting to help reduce our reliance on coal-powered energy.

We have recycling bins in our office and kitchen areas.

Our office is located right next to a train station, so more of our staff can use public transportation rather than having to drive.

We have allocated four on-site parking spots to those who carpool with colleagues.

Our dress code is casual, meaning nobody has to do any dry cleaning on our behalf.

We offer staff the opportunity to buy superseded hardware. All they need to do is give a donation to a charity of their choosing. This keeps our old equipment out of landfill.
